Bev Fentiman is a British qualified Masseur, Sports Therapist and Reflexologist with 11 years practical experience.
Bev is registered with the Sports Massage Association and has professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
In 2012 Bev will join the Medical Team at the London Olympics. Providing Sports Massage for some of the best athletes in the world
Qualifications
After graduating from The University of Wolverhampton (1996) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Science with Human Biology, Beverley Fentiman went on to gain her teaching qualifications.
She started her working life as a Lecturer in Sports Science at a college in the West Midlands where she taught up to Foundation Degree Level.
Always seeking knowledge, Bev continued to study and gained her Massage and Sports Therapy qualifications with The Academy of Sports Therapists and the F.A. (Intermediate Treatment and Management of Sports Injuries).
In 2003 Bev also qualified as a Reflexologist with The Association of Reflexologists.
In 2010 Bev passed her level 5 qualification in Advanced Sports Therapy in preparation for her work with Olympic athletes at the London 2012 Olympics.
Having decided on a career change in 1999, Bev set up and ran (for 5 years) her own successful Massage and Sports Therapy practice based in Worcestershire.
The business, “The Injury Repair Clinic” catered for sports people and members of the general public in and around the Southern West Midlands.
Bev operated clinics in Worcester, Malvern and Redditch and also a monthly clinic at DEFRA (Department of Food and Rural Affairs) and Qinetiq (part of the Ministry of Defence).
In the past Bev has treated many International and Professional sports people from sports as diverse as Hockey, Cricket, Rowing, Golf, Football (Redditch United F.C), Rugby, Skiing, Snow Boarding and in 2009 Bev treated the world number 1 in Real (Royal) Tennis. In 2010 and 2011 Bev provided massage for members of the British Triathlon Team at their summer training camp based in Morzine.
In 2004 Bev sold the business in Worcester and travelled down to the Southern Hemisphere where she worked as a Massage therapist in New Zealand, at Kina Colada Boutique Hotel and Resort and then in Australia at Lillianfels Hotel near Sydney (a member of the Orient Express Company).
These five star hotels provided high quality relaxation and sports massage in a luxury relaxing spa environment.
On her return to Europe in 2006 Bev moved to Spain where she took up an appointment at The Hyatt Hotel in La Manga Resort, a well known training venue for many British international athletes and teams.
Bev continued to work in Spain until the winter of 2007 when “Morzine Massage” was born. The business has completed four very successful seasons, catering to the needs of skiing/snow boarding holiday makers and local residents alike and will be operating to the same high standards throughout 2011/12 ski season.
